"Healing with The Creative Fire"
Sunday, Apr 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM
Sunday Worship at Interfaith Community Sanctuary, 1763 NW 62nd Street, Seattle, WA 98107. Website: www.interfaithcommunitysanctuary.org. "Healing with the Creative Fire" with Rev. Karen Lindquist joined by Rev.'s Lila & Chris Rapcewicz. Chigusa of SilkStrings will share Japanese koto music. When we think of the element of Fire we may think of its destructive nature —its capacity to harm. This can evoke deep fear within us. Yet this powerful element is the catalyst for Transformation and Creativity. It spurs us into action, pushes us forward to new adventure, and challenges us to risk everything in the pursuit of Truth, in the desire for Love. Through the element of Fire we can establish deep within ourselves the authentic power to create our lives with honesty, with humility — ‘through Love and in Love.’ “What is to give light must endure burning.” - Viktor E. Frankl.

UNIVERSAL WORSHIP
Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM
This Universal Worship gathering is shared by Cherag Michael Douglas and Rev. Karen Lindquist. About Universal Worship: Universal Worship celebrates the essential unity of all religions. We light lamps on the altar to represent the diversity of faiths and offer prayers to honor all traditions. We invoke the messengers of God, known and unknown, who have appeared in all times and all places to serve and enlighten humanity. By the practice of uniting in meditation, we allow this one message to enter our lives and change our being. Bathing in the presence of these living streams of revelation, we express and deepen our community's interfaith commitment. Using this ritual as a foundation, we will explore our relationship to Divine Unity, share the songs and scriptures of various faith traditions & learn to recognize the energy of divine guidance in our lives. Location: INTERFAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH, 1763 NW 62nd Street in the heart of Ballard. Website: www.interfaithcommunitychurch.org. Phone: 206.783.1618.
